SchoolSuite provides students with a complete set of basic tools that lets them write reports, do desktop publishing, build spreadsheets and inventories, illustrate their projects, access the Internet and more.

Unlike other integrated productivity software packages, SchoolSuite was developed specifically for schools-- not for businesses. So SchoolSuite can be incorporated more easily into all your classroom activities. Four selectable user levels let students select the skill level they are comfortable with-- Introductory, Intermediate, Expert, or Custom-- and add more functionality as their skills grow. They can even select different skill levels for the different applications within SchoolSuite. And pinnable menus allow students to keep any menu onscreen at all times.

SchoolSuite includes six major applications:

  • Skipper-- the graphical Web browser that lets students drag and drop images and text to other applications
  • NewWrite-- the full-featured word-processor with scalable fonts, spell-checker, thesaurus and mail-merge
  • NewDraw-- the WYSIWYG drawing program with bitmap/vector tools, rulers, grids and design templates
  • NewCalc-- the spreadsheet with 99 functions, complete cell formatting, and seven on-screen charting options
  • NewFile-- the flat-file database with single or multiple record layouts, over 16,000 records per file, and mail merge
  • NewManager-- the desktop manager that lets students manage files, launch NewDeal or DOS programs, multi-task and print in the background

SchoolSuite also features a calculator, calendar, student planner, banner maker, screen savers, puzzles, templates, clip art and more.

SchoolSuite takes only minutes to learn for students who are familiar with Windows or Mac. They can quickly and easily move between NewDeal and the Windows or Macintosh interface.

Students can use SchoolSuite to work with files such as MSWorks or ClarisWorks, or that they download from the Internet. It's easy to incorporate SchoolSuite into your school's current software library.
